A new Ys game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita was revealed at Sony’s pre-TGS press conference earlier this week.
The brief trailer shown at the conference showcased improved graphics, high-speed gameplay, and exploration. Other than a 2015 release window for Japan, little else is known about this installment.
The Ys series is popular in Japan, however it does not share the same reach in the west. Ys: Memories of Celceta came to PlayStation Vita in 2013. Though the game was greeted with good reviews, it did not move many units in the west.
The Ys games have always been on my radar, but unfortunately I have never had the chance to give them a try. However, now that I own a PlayStation 4, I might have to pick this up if it makes it to the west.
