Nintendo announced three new 3DS XLs, two of which have an upcoming game’s theme and one that has a classic NES console theme.
The NES 3DS XL launches October 10th for $199.99 exclusively at GameStop. In related news, Nintendo also revealed a Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth 3DS XL, and they officially confirmed that the Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL will hit North America on September 19th.
All three of these handhelds will be available by the end of the year for $199.99. None of the consoles come bundled with a game.
All of these handhelds look beautiful, but with the announcement of the New 3DS I can’t imagine many people buying any of these. Another issue, as of right now, is that none of these consoles come bundled with a game that they are themed after. It is great to see that Nintendo is having fun with their 3DS XL designs, but their timing is poor.
