A number of new fighters were confirmed for Super Smash Bros. during user Hayama’s Twitch stream.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

Dark Pitt from Kid Icarus: Uprising and the Duck Hunt Dog will debut in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS.  Fans will be happy to see other characters return, such as: Ganondorf, Falco, Mr. Game and Watch, Ness, Wario, ROB, Jigglypuff, and Dr. Mario will return.

It appears that Snake, Squirtle, and Wolf are unlikely to make a return.  Despite the recent roster leak, there is no news on whether or not Bowser Jr. will make the cut.

Super Smash Bros for 3DS is set to release October 3rd, while Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be available this holiday season.

My Opinion:

It appears the leak may have been true.  While I am disappointed that a lot of the new characters got leaked, I am happy to see that Falco, Ness, and Ganondorf will all be returning to the fray!  I am still crossing my fingers for Snake, but I am not getting my hopes up.
