The Crew Urges Gamers To Drive Social In New Trailer

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for The Crew , its upcoming open-world, action, driving game. The trailer highlights many of the social aspects that create a unique driving experience.  Gamers are invited to assemble a crew and collaborate with other players to tackle missions.  While missions can be played alone, there is a heavy emphasis on multiplayer.  The Crew requires an internet connection to play and creative director Julian Gerighty describes the game as, “a role-playing game with large-scale multiplayer elements.”

Players will have no shortage of sights to see in The Crew’s recreation of the United States. Developer Ivory Tower has included over 1900 square miles of land to explore. Driving coast-to-coast in the game takes 90 minutes.

The Crew hits stores shelves on November 11th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

My Opinion:

I’m not heavy into playing online with other people, but I appreciate the effort that Ubisoft has put into making The Crew a very social game.  Being able to take on missions with a crew of drivers is a cool idea and the multiplayer is integrated seamlessly with no game loading screens or pauses. The feature that stands out the most to me is being able to drive coast to coast.  Driving from New York to LA sounds like an awesome experience that I would never do in real life.
