What if Shaq had stayed in L.A. with Kobe?  What if Carmelo Anthony was drafted by Detroit?  What if Kevin Durant was taken 1st in the 2007 NBA Draft.  These are just a few questions posed by the new trailer for NBA 2K15.  Narrated by Shaquille O’Neal, the trailer is used to highlight the possibilities of the MyTeam mode.  Want to build the ultimate fantasy team with players from any era?  MyTeam has you covered.  Once your dream line-up is set, take to the court to compete in challenges that improve your team over time.  One of the ways to build your team is through the real-time auction house, allowing you to bid on highly desirable players.

NBA 2K15 will offer various challenge modes to put your line-up to the test.  Imagine being down 3-0 in the NBA Finals and having to battle back for the championship. These challenges will be available in multiplayer, updated weekly throughout the year, and allow for user generated content.

The possibilities are endless when NBA 2K15 launches for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on October 7th.

My Opinion:  

Releasing a sports game year after year is a difficult task for a game company.  Once you have nailed the core gameplay mechanics and graphics, there is only so much you can improve upon each year.  This is why adding in new modes like MyTeam is a good move for NBA 2K15.  You need features like this to entice gamers to continue to pick up a copy each year.  I know building the ultimate fantasy team is an appetizing proposition for many NBA enthusiasts, myself included.
