Activision may have just helped you out if you weren’t sure which version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare you should purchase this November.
Sledgehammer’s debut Call of Duty experience will be cross-buy for PlayStation owners. This means if you buy it digitally for PlayStation 3 you will also get it for PlayStation 4 for free and vice-versa. This is also applicable to any purchased DLC or season passes.
Similarly, Microsoft will have a free digital upgrade promotion for those who have not purchased a current-gen console.
The cross-buy and digital upgrade promotions will be redeemable until March 31, 2015.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be available for purchase on November 4th in North America for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
My Opinion:
This is a smart, albeit surprising, move by Activision. If you are holding out on getting a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, this adds a little bit of incentive to pick up Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on a last-gen console.
