In a cheeky tweet from BioWare earlier this week, which has since been removed, the resolutions for Dragon Age: Inquisition on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 were confirmed.
Confirmed: #DAI resolution is 1080p on PS4, and 900p on Xbox One. We maximized the current potential of each platform.”
This tweet was in response to a quote from Ubisoft Montreal’s Executive Producer Vincent Pontbriand on why both current-gen versions of Assassin’s Creed: Unity have been set to 900p.
My Response:
I found this tweet somewhat amusing, as I can always appreciate the occasional subtle jab between studios. In regards to the news itself, I am excited at the fact BioWare is maximizing the potential across all platforms. I believe that is how it should be all the time, but I can understand a studio’s decision to strive for a similar experience for all players.
