Have you ever punched a jet? Ever flown a jet into a guy in a bar fight? No? Well the Tekken 20th anniversary goodies available in Ace Combat Infinity will likely be the closest you’ll ever get.
The news comes to us from Original Gamer, and what strange news it is (at first glance). What ties Tekken and the Ace Combat series together is that they’re both babies of Bandai Namco.
All confusion aside, lets talk about the goods. If you’re flying the skies you can get your hands on quite a few things: four Tekken fighters themed SU-35 jets which feature Kazuya Mishima, Jin Kazama, Ling Xiaoyu and Alisa Bosconovitch, as well as 12 Tekken related emblems. Not only will the jets be sporting custom paint jobs (three of which are shown below), they’ll be packing some boosted stats as well!
If this fun mash-up of series sounds like fun to you, then pick up this content on PlayStation 3 before it disappears on November 3rd!
My Opinion:
As per usual, I find certain combinations of games a bit strange. I admit, a fighting game mashed into a dog-fighting sim is fairly unusual, but I guess Bandai Namco just wanted to do it big for the 20th birthday of one of their largest franchises. I can understand that. Congrats to those folks for the 20 years of good (if not unnecessarily long combo having) fighting games!
Myles K Farrington is one of the MONG Senior Editors and has recently been losing a lot of sleep due to Destiny. There looks to be no end to the fatigue in sight and he’s not too broken up about it. Keep up with him over on IGN, Twitch, and Twitter as well!
