Have you been waiting for a combat racing game to play on your PlayStation 4? Well you’ll only have to wait a little bit longer.

Playrise Digital announced that their newest title Table Top Racing: World Tour, will make its debut on PS4, according to the press release by IGN. “With a long history of hit games for PlayStation over the decades, we feel that the PlayStation platform is our spiritual home and to make a return to console development, as an indie developer, feels like a dream come true,” said Playrise CEO Nick Burcombe.

One of the biggest aspects Playrise wants to emphasize is “real social gaming,” by integrating four-player local multiplayer and online multiplayer. Not only does Playrise want to focus on creating a fun multiplayer experience, they want you to have a litany of content by adding more table-top tracks, cars, and power-ups with Table Top Racing: World Tour. The title is also powered by the Unity 5 engine.

The developer’s first title, Table Top Racing, launched on Playstation Vita and Android this year and iOS in 2013. Although we know Table Top Racing: World Tour will come to other platforms, Playrise has not specified which ones.

My Opinion:

I think it’s great that Sony continues to show its support for indie devs and are able to take advantage of the ever changing market. More diverse and unique games are never a bad thing!
