Xenoblade Chronicles X is still planned for a 2015 release, according to Satoru Iwata.  However, nothing was mentioned about a western release.  

The announcement came during today’s Nintendo Direct.  Check out the brand new trailer that was released with the announcement.

Following the announcement, Nintendo released several new screenshots for Xenoblade Chronicles X.

My Opinion:

I am extremely excited to get my hands on this one.  Everyone knows that I am a huge JRPG fan, and I have yet to play one on my Wii U.  It’s strange that we haven’t heard anything official on the western release, but the announcement is bound to come sometime next year.
