Gamecube controller, now with extensions

Go Nintendo released a video today, showing us the difference between Nintendo’s older Gamecube controller and it’s new, ‘extended’ relative.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is almost upon us, and fans all around are getting pumped up for its release in two weeks. Many fans of Super Smash Bros. are particularly interested in the re-release of Nintendo’s popular controller, used and loved by many since 2001.

Go Nintendo released a video showing us the difference between the new Gamecube controller and its older brother.  The newer model sports an extra long cord, allowing gamers to sit farther back from their ever-growing televisions.  What do you think about the new development?  Leave your comments on the subject below.

My Opinion:

One of the few things I regret not buying for my Gamecube collection was controller extensions.  While this might not be overly exciting news for some, it strongly applies to me.  To this day, the Gamecube’s controller fits my hands better than any others created before or after its existence.
