The Black Glove is “[a]n eerie, surrealistic, first-person game experience by an independent team of developers who helped make BioShock Infinite & Bioshock.”The Black Glove’s Kickstarter began in June and needed $550,000 to be funded. When the Kickstarter ended, The Black Glove had earned $216,517. Day For Night Games, the developer, posted an update to the Kickstarter after funding had ended:
“…[W]e mean to fight like hell to keep it from being cancelled. We believe in the game and you all have shown you do, too. We’ve received a lot of questions on whether we planned on immediately starting up another fundraising campaign for The Black Glove at a lower fundraising goaL.
[W]e’re pursuing all options. We’re beginning to talk to all the publishers who have reached out over the last few weeks. We have a few other ideas, as well. It may be weeks or months before we have news to report, but we intend to be back with more as soon as possible.”
The Black Glove piqued my interest solely because of the people developing it. After hearing what the premise was, I really wanted to play the game. My heart dropped when I saw the game failed to hit its goal. Based on their reaction, maybe not all hope is lost for the game.
