Publisher Ubisoft has just released the launch trailer for their upcoming open-world action adventure game, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue. This release comes a day ahead of its launch on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 11th.
This iteration in the popular franchise has gamers play as Shay Patrick Cormac during the Seven Years War. As a former Assassin turned Templar, Shay travels through land and water from New York City to the Arctic Ocean in pursuit of his former brothers. Despite the new North American locations to explore, Rogue is similar in play style and level design to its predecessor, Black Flag.
My Opinion:
Although it is nice to see a publisher not releasing their launch trailer a month before the release of the game, I find myself markedly less excited for this game than I am for its next-gen counterpart. This is due not only to the fact that I don’t own a console on which to play Rogue, but also because of the positive changes in level design and play style that Unity will bring to the franchise.
