Weekends are meant strictly for gaming; at least that’s what we think. Here is where you can find out all of our crazy plans for the upcoming weekend!
Courtney Osborn, Founder & Editor in Chief:
Dragon Age: Inquisition…. Enough said.
Myles Farrington, Senior Editor:
Now that I’ve had my fill of Iron Banner in Destiny, I think it’s about time that I crack open Dragon Age: Inquisition and see what all the hype is about. I loved the first one and from the sounds of it Inquisition is just as good, if not better! Yeah, see, you thought I was gonna say “nothing” or “something something Destiny.” Don’t sleep on MKF. I’ll surprise you… wha-bam!
Jesse Webster, Senior Writer:
Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4. I’ll be playing most of this game in First Person View, except driving. Very few games does FPV driving right, and I doubt that GTAV is one of them. It’s the perfect game to play as I pick up Persona Q on Tuesday.
Alex DeLaPena, Associate Writer:
After pre-ordering Far Cry 4 and picking it up on launch day, the game has yet to come out of the box. I’ll look to change that this weekend.
Adam Leonard, Associate Writer:
I’ll be playing WWE 2K15 for my upcoming review. I also plan to play quite a bit of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and I am attending a Smash Bros. party on Saturday night. It’s a good weekend to be a gamer!
Elijah Oguma, Associate Writer:
Somehow, after a two week hiatus, Destiny has sunk its claws into me again. I’ve been stuck at level 26 seemingly forever and I am trying to get past this hump. Also, I’m flying to an outer island (Maui) on Saturday for a gig (Lame Musician) and am looking forward to killing time with my Vita!
Jason Patrick, Associate Writer:
I just recently played through Never Alone, so I’m going to spend a chunk of this weekend reviewing that. Look for the review on Monday. I recently received Shadow of Mordor from Gamefly, but I’m going to force myself to beat The Evil Within, before I move onto that.
Jordan Loeffler, Associate Writer:
Dragon Age: Inquisition… let’s see if I eat and sleep.
Landon Luthi, Associate Writer:
I made the mistake of beginning a new file on Skyrim. I am attempting to beat the entire game on Legendary. So far, 6 dragons down, with 3 of them slayed from 1-on-1 combat. My grades and swearing abilities have been heavily challenged. More info next week on my heroic attempts at an amazing Skyrim experience while balancing out my schooling and humanity.
Lucy Pallent, Associate Writer:
I reviewed the Mario Kart 8 DLC earlier this week so I’ll be playing a lot of that. Also, because Super Smash Bros. launches in the UK next week I’ll be trying to finish Earthbound.
Matt Southwell, Associate Writer:
I have been playing GTA V since Tuesday — in preparation for our review — and I don’t see that changing over the weekend. I am currently 20 hours in and have barely scratched the surface!
Nathan Reid, Associate Writer:
It’s my Birthday this weekend! So when I’m not doing birthday things I’ll probably put some time into my PS Plus back catalog. I’m playing 2013’s Tomb Raider and really enjoying it, and I just bought the first Mass Effect for five dollars so I’m excited to see the beginning of that great trilogy.
Patrick Garrity, Associate Writer:
So we have Smash, GTA V, Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Assassins Creed Unity to finish up. Idk what I’ll be playing, I’ll prob stare at them all debating about what to play and then go play World of Warcraft. Why do all the good games come out in a 30 day period again? I know! There is NFL sunday. BYE!
Riley Berry, Associate Writer:
I’m travelling this weekend so I’ll be playing games on my Vita. I’m not entirely sure what I’ll play most of the time, but Bind of Isaac: Rebirth and Luftrausers will see some play time.
Ryan Amirault, Associate Writer:
Last weekend my goal was to start Shadow of Mordor, but in the end I just couldn’t get into it so I am taking that off the list. This weekend I will continue to play Destiny as per the usual, though there will be some NHL15 and Driveclub mixed in there. I am waiting for Far Cry 4 at this point, that’s my next big release. I also need to choose my next Vita game now that I am done Steamworld Dig, but I am not sure exactly what it will be.
Scott Deisner, Associate Writer:
It’s been sometime since I was in the weekend update! While I catch up on this years WCS Starcraft 2 matches I’ll be enjoying some new equipment I bought from Xur, in Destiny. I’m only 5 exotics away from having everyone in the game! Squeee! I’ll be playing Destiny and GTA V on PS4 with my girlfriend most of the weekend. Come join!
