Has The Metal Gear Solid V Release Date Been Revealed?

Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, may have revealed the release date of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Hideo-Kojima

During The Game Awards in Las Vegas, Kojima wore a shirt that read “tjugoandra den sjätte” while announcing the addition of a multiplayer aspect to The Phantom Pain. It turns out these words are Swedish for “twenty-second and sixth,” causing speculation that the title may be released on June 22nd next year. Previously, Kojima had manufactured a fake Swedish development studio (Moby Dick Studios) in order to tease The Phantom Pain. Given Kojima’s usual tactics, it appears speculation is warranted.

With the speculated release date only six months out, an official update is sure to come in the near future.

My Opinion:

Kojima is at it again! I have little doubt that June 22nd is at least the target release date for Metal Gear Solid V. Thinking ahead, it’s relevant to ponder if the title will make the target date or be delayed. I’m optimistic that Kojima won’t allow the game to be released before it is ready.
