Adr1ft Revealed at the Video Game Awards

Amongst all of the announcements this weekend, the publisher 505 Games showed off a new game called Adr1ft during the Video Game Awards.

A short trailer was shown during the awards.  The game takes place in outer space, presumably after a space station crashes over Earth’s atmosphere.  The game will run off of the Unreal 4 Engine, and it is expected to be an atmospheric experience.

Adr1ft is being developed by an independent studio called Three One Zero.  The studio was founded in 2013 and is based in Santa Monica, California.

Adr1ft is expected to hit Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with Oculus support this Summer.

My Opinion:

This was one of my favorite reveals of the Video Game Awards.  While the trailer didn’t show too much, the direction and art style look promising. Better yet, Adr1ft isn’t too far out.  This will certainly be a day one purchase for me this Summer.
