What You (Probably) Never Knew About The Last of Us

The latest YouTube video from Did You Know Gaming delves into some of the more obscure development angles Naughty Dog explored while making The Last of Us.

Among some of the more prevalent facts surrounding development and release of the game (such as the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception debacle), the video explains that Ellie could have become a playable character earlier in the game, and that she very nearly had a dog companion.

Also interesting factoids of note feature what early development planned for Tess’ character arc, and how the game’s focus-testing didn’t originally target female gamers. For all of the details, watch the video below.

My Opinion:

I adore everything about this game. I never knew the majority of this information, but it’s really intriguing to learn more about what could have become of the game. Overall, I wouldn’t change a thing about The Last of Us. Naughty Dog made all of the right decisions in my eyes. Except, another Jak and Daxter would’ve been badass.
