Retailer-Exclusive amiibo Available at Nintendo World Store

The amiibo craze has hit a fever pitch these days. Wave 3 is launching, and stores all over North America are selling out of the new figures, sometimes in mere minutes. Fortunately (for those in or near NYC), Nintendo has made some of these figures a little easier to obtain.

Some of the Wave 3 figures are retailer-exclusives in North America. Rosalina and Luma can only be found at Target, Shulk is unique to GameStop, Lucario is only available at Toys ‘R’ Us, and Meta Knight is exclusive to Best Buy. However, Nintendo is also offering three of these (along with all other amiibo) at their Nintendo World Store in New York City (Meta Knight has not yet been spotted).

This is sure to be welcome news for some, as many amiibo characters are already near-impossible to find, even with multiple-store distribution. Although, those of us living outside of the NYC area may still have to brave the cold and crowds to obtain these amiibo in their respective stores.

My Opinion:

The amiibo hunt so far has been frustrating at best, so here’s hoping Nintendo is doing everything they can to make sure anyone who wants the figures can get their hands on them. People are literally lining up to give them money. They probably ought to take advantage of that.
