Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has an update that adds 15 stages to its 8-player mode.
The update is available for download now. The new stages include nine regular levels and six variants for Final Destination. When the game launched, there weren’t a lot of stages available for 8-player mode.
New 8-player stages are as follows:

- Pyrosphere (Metroid)
- Norfair – Super Metroid)
- Lylat Cruise – (Star Fox)
- Pokémon Stadium 2

- Animal Crossing – Smashville
- Wii Fit Studio
Final Destination stages
- Mario Galaxy
- Mario Circuit (X)
- Kirby: The Great Cave Offensive
- Lylat Cruise – (Star Fox)
- Pokémon Stadium 2

It was stated that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U would not be receiving balance patches and its current state is how the game is intended to be played. Check out our review here.
My Opinion:
Right on! I have loved Smash since day one and the Wii U version is fantastic! I have enjoyed the 8-player mode the most and hearing that there are now more stages for me and my friends to play on is a great start to the week! Now I just need to find a GameCube controller adapter.
