Resogun Defenders Release Date Revealed

Resogun Defenders, the last expansion for the PlayStation exclusive, Resogun, finally has a release date.

As detailed on developer HouseMarque’s website, fans can look forward to getting their hands on this expansion this Tuesday, February 18th in the US or Wednesday, February 19th in Europe. The pack will sell for $4.99/€4.99/£3.99 on the PSN Store, and Season Pass holders will be entitled to the content for free.

Players can look forward to two completely new game modes in the content patch: Protector and Commando.

In Protector mode, would be voxel pilots will be defending the last human colonies with all new power-ups like Teleport and Super Boost. Brand new mechanics including “planet flip,” “automatic city defenses,” and environmental hazards such as volcanic meteors will greet players with new challenges.

In Commando mode, players will take control of the last human left behind, stranded without a ship to fend off enemies. Side-scrolling spaceship combat is replaced with platformer-type controls and mechanics, so players will be jumping and mini-gunning their way to victory. There will also be a cooperative and competitive multiplayer option for Commando mode, so no one has to feel left out.

My Opinion:

Resogun brethren, rejoice! Finally, after what has seemed like an eternity, the last bit of Resogun DLC is about to descend upon us. As a big fan of the game (being one of two platinum trophies I’ve earned), I’ve been looking forward to this for a while now. Tuesday can’t get here soon enough!
