This upcoming adventure has been named the ‘Blackrock Mountain Adventure‘ and will feature 17 new bosses, as well as 31 new unlockable cards being added to the core game. When it is finally released, the expansion will be similarity structured like the previous adventure ‘Curse of Naxxramas‘ and be split up into five “wings” that will be released over a period of five weeks.
The ‘Blackrock Mountain Adventure‘ expansion content for Hearthstone is scheduled to release for PC, Mac, Tablets sometime in April. The expansion will cost either 700 in-game gold per wing or $6.99 per wing (or $24.99 all at once). Pre-orders for the expansion begin on March 19th.

I am really interested in seeing how these new cards will affect the metagame in the weeks following the release of this expansion. One of the best parts about Hearthstone is the continually changing nature of the types of decks players use and it certainly makes high ranking matches a lot more interesting. That said however, I do hope that this does not upset the delicate balance of cards in the long run. Best case scenario, much like the last adventure did, it will give rise to several new deck builds and strategies for the core game, without changing the overall balance for most other players.
