Weekends are meant strictly for gaming; at least that’s what we think. Here is where you can find out all of our crazy plans for the upcoming weekend!
Lou Contaldi, Executive Editor:
Helldiver’s, anyone? Send me an invite at KingLouieTrip!
Myles Farrington, Senior Editor:
My weekend is gonna be fairly normal. There will be much feasting, drinking of beverages (some of them possibly alcoholic) and I think I’ll be tossing in some Helldivers, Dragon Ball Xenoverse and maybe even some… I dunno. Any suggestions, folks? You know where to reach me, FuriousMILK on Twitter. Have a milky weekend, folks!
Shawn Richards, Senior Editor
I am all about that Battlefield: Hardline. Whether it is playing online or the main story, I will definitely be putting more time into this game. That being said, I will be giving my Vita some love with my favorite guilty pleasure game PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale or maybe give Super Smash Bros for the Wii U a few plays in order to get better at some of the new characters.
Brian Hoerst, Associate Editor:
Video games have taken a back seat to indie movies the past 10 days or so. Must be that time of the year. But sometimes I play Rogue Legacy during them!
Jordan Loeffler, Associate Editor:
Sadly, there will be few games played this weekend. Moving date quickly approaches, and I have too many empty boxes. However, I plan to fit some time in for Bloodborne next week, so there’s that.
Lucy Pallent, Senior Writer:
I’ll probably be playing some Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars for review. As well as practising Shovel Knight for my live stream on Monday. Also I’ll be trying to finish season 4 of Game of Thrones in time for the start of Season 5.
Aaron Dobbe, Associate Writer:
Whew! This weekend will be the first in a while that I’m not speeding through a game for review. I think I’ll relax by zoning out with some Hyrule Warriors.
Audrey Lips, Associate Writer:
I’m behind on games at the moment, so I’ll be late and start my playing of Ori and the Blind Forest! I expect to spend all weekend playing it, between updating my resume and sending out job applications.
Benjamin Luthi, Associate Writer:
Just got all 6 Super Mario amiibo and Mario Party 10 in the mail, so I’ll be Mario partying like it’s 1999!
Darius Purse, Associate Writer:
Even though I just recently got my PS4 and have been enjoying it, I want to still finish Sleeping Dogs on the PS3. I also plan to pre-order Mortal Kombat X this weekend.
Elijah Oguma, Associate Writer:
I haven’t written for the update in a while, but let me assure you, I haven’t played much beyond Destiny. Sure, there are a few games I’m enjoying on the side as well (OlliOlli 2, SteamWorld Dig, Resogun) but my weekends are usually filled with frustrating hard Crota raid attempts.
Matt Southwell, Associate Writer:
There are so many games I want to play right now! This weekend is all about completing Ori & The Blind Forest, before moving on to Hotline Miami 2.
Nathan Reid, Associate Writer:
Mostly practicing music and working but in terms of gaming I have a new goal. I want to finish the Metal Gear series in chronological order up Phantom Pain. That may sound ambitious but it’s only Snake Eater, Portable Ops, Peace Walker, and Ground Zeroes (and I’m probably skipping Portable Ops).
Riley Berry, Associate Writer:
I don’t have any specific gaming plans this weekend. I may put a few more hours into Diablo III and Persona Q. I have a lot of games that I plan to play, but I do not want to start any of them because Bloodborne is so close and I want to focus on that when it releases.
Tyler Bartlemus, Associate Writer:
I haven’t had the chance to play any games as of late, so hopefully this weekend I will be able to catch up on my ever growing backlog of games. Most likely I will be spending most of that time in Grand Theft Auto V and the new Heists mode that released for its multiplayer. If you feel like joining me, feel free to add me on the Xbox One or reach me on Twitter. (TJBartlemus)
