During yesterday’s exciting Nintendo Direct, Nintendo showcased a new Pokémon Rumble game that is absolutely free.
Pokémon Rumble World, set to be released to the Nintendo 3DS eShop on April 8th, will charge players to fight against other toy Pokémon in an effort to have them join your ranks. The game is set to feature more than 700 Pokémon as well as Mega Evolutions and Primal Reversions.
Players can travel to a variety of locations via hot air balloons. Poké-Diamonds, the currency of the game, can be obtained through stages within the game, StreetPass, or even as micro-transactions through the eShop. With this currency, you can buy a variety of hot air balloons to travel and collect other characters.
My Opinion:
This seems like a decent enough game that can appeal to any Pokémon fan or gamer who enjoys quick bursts of action. I also think that this is yet another experiment that Nintendo is creating to test the waters of micro-transactions and how it could transfer over to the smartphone gaming industry.
