Wedbush Security Analyst, and former “Pach Attack” host, Michael Pachter seems to think these games are less than a year away.
According to the Wedbush report on publisher EA’s 2015 line up, he predicted we will be receiving Mass Effect 4 and Mirror’s Edge 2 along with an unannounced game before the end of the 2015 fiscal year, April 1, 2016. Pachter predicts:
‘’Financial year 2016 is expected to feature incremental releases Mass Effect 4, Mirror’s Edge 2, a new Need For Speed game, and Star Wars: Battlefront, as well as meaningful re-orders for Battlefield Hardline, which launched in late Q4:15.’’
Let’s all remember that Mr. Pachter does not work at EA, nor does he have any inside knowledge. He’s more of the weather man for the industry. He take’s what he knows and has seen in the past, to make educated guesses about what may happen within the next year. With E3 right around the corner, EA has a lot to cover with such high-profile releases.
My Opinion:
Mass Effect is one of my all time favorite series, so any information about the 4th is good for my gamer soul. Mirror’s Edge on the other hand, I could never get into. I guess I’m not hardkour about Parkour. Maybe Mirror’s Edge 2 will finally get me into virtual first person climbing.
