Looking to find an excuse to purchase a Wii U and Splatoon? Looks like Best Buy has the deal for you. Exclusively at Best Buy for $300, this bundle will contain a download code for Splatoon, a preinstalled copy of Nintendo Land, and a 32GB model of the console.

Splatoon is a new IP from Nintendo where players shoot colorful ink in a family-friendly third-person shooter. It was also recently announced that this franchise will have their own dedicated line of amiibo.

The game, bundle, and amiibo are all set to release in North America on May 29th.

My Opinion:

This is a great move on Nintendo’s part – swap out Super Mario World 2 and insert the new IP. The exclusivity to only Best Buy is a bit strange, especially since this minimizes potential people buying the bundle. Regardless, it finally looks like Nintendo is pushing the PR for this game about a month before its release. Is it too late? Time will tell.
