Insomniac Games has announced the delay of the upcoming Ratchet & Clank game.
On the PlayStation Blog, Insomniac announced it has pushed back the Ratchet & Clank reboot to Spring 2016. The game was expected to hit sometime this year to coincide with the movie being released. It will still do that, but it will do so a year later, since the movie has been delayed too. The movie now has an April 29, 2016, release date so perhaps the remake will be released around then.
Insomniac explained on Twitter the reason for the delay:
Ratchet & Clank for the PlayStation 4 is a reimagining of the original game; the changes to Ratchet’s backstory for the movie will be reflected in the game.
My Opinion:
Based on the tweet, it seems like the delay of the movie was because of marketing reasons, and the game had to be delayed too. I am not worried about the state of the game at all.
