God Of War III Remastered is now available for pre-order worldwide, and Sony is offering a couple of incentives to players in anticipation of the July 14, 2015 release.
According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, pre-ordering either the digital or physical copy of the game will entitle you to a brand new “God Of War – Fall Of Olympus” Dynamic Theme. While the physical pre-orders will get a code for the theme on release, those who are in North America, and pre-order via the PlayStation Network, will be able to download the theme as early as next week — on May 26th.
The second incentive available when you pre-order the PS4 remaster, is free 90-day rentals for both God Of War and God Of War II on PlayStation Now.
In addition to the announcement, a new trailer has been released which showcases the battle of Kratos vs Hades. The trailer can be viewed in all its 1080p 60fps beauty below:
My Opinion:
I couldn’t care less about getting a theme, but the offer of the free PS Now rentals is a really smart move by Sony. While it is not quite the same as getting the full remastered trilogy that some may have wanted, it gives gamers an option to enjoy the trilogy for the cost of one game. It also makes the game more accessible to gamers who missed out on the trilogy last time around.

Oh for goodness sake, they can’t just sit on the pretty much guaranteed money of the remaster can they, always gotta dangle a carrot in front to make sure they get those juicy pre-orders.
