One of the most widely discussed and visually impressive games coming out of E3 this year was Horizon Zero Dawn.  The new, PlayStation 4 IP from Guerrilla Games drew instant attention for its unique setting and protagonist.  Horizon Zero Dawn places gamers in the role of Aloy, a young hunter and archer, as she makes her way through a post-apocalyptic world filled with mechanized creatures.

Sony has released an E3 trailer breakdown for the game. Senior Producer Mark Norris at Guerrilla Games, sheds insight throughout the video, offering tidbits on the character of Aloy, the seamless open world she inhabits, and some of the weapon customization available to players. Watch the video below and look out for robo-dinos when Horizon Zero Dawn releases in 2016.

 

 

My Opinion:  

Horizon Zero Dawn was easily one of the best reveals at E3 2015 and has jumped onto my most anticipated games list for next year.  It is great to see Guerilla Games do something else besides Killzone.  While I appreciated the stunning graphics those games had to offer, I’m not the biggest FPS gamer.  Horizon Zero Dawn seems more up my alley and I can’t wait to play it next year.
