The next expansion for the world renown PC MMO World of Warcraft is set to be announced next week in Germany at Gamescom. Blizzard Entertainment is breaking tradition as they would normally announce the expansion at Blizzcon. This will be the follow up to the previous expansion World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor.
The reveal will be part of Blizzard’s briefing on Thursday, August 6th, and event will be streamed live. Fans can also tune in for a special “developer chat” on Sunday August 9th where developers will talk more about the upcoming expansion.
My Opinion:
This is needed BADLY. Being an avid player of World of Warcraft since vanilla days, the game seems to be in a sort of disarray currently. I’d say it’s 50/50 with players being happy with the current content and others enjoying it. Personally, I felt Warlords of Draenor was not Blizzard’s best work and I hope they can get back on track. With the Warcraft movie being released next summer and the slew of new players it will bring in we need a something new whether it be another expansion or maybe a reboot. What are you thoughts?
