Sony gamers eager to return to sandy beaches with the bikini clad ladies of the Dead or Alive franchise, wait no longer. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 has been announced for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The news comes via Famitsu along with a few tidbits on the game. Currently scheduled to only release in Asian markets, producer Yosuke Hayashi stated it could receive a Western release if demand was high, but would be “adapted” for the Western audience.
Also revealed was the news the title would use modified versions of the Soft Engine and of course the Vita version will make use of the touch screen and motion control capabilities.
As someone who really enjoyed Dead or Alive 5, I am much more interested in seeing Koei Tecmo announce another entry in the fighting series. Yet, I have no problem with the development of this game and hope it comes to the West for gamers who want to play it. I am curious as to how exactly it would be “adapted” for the Western market. It seems like the type of game that is unapologetic in its essence, and altering the game could displease the very gamer most likely to purchase it.
