Capcom has pledged to support Street Fighter V long after release with free content ranging from additional fighters to a cinematic story mode. Yet, that doesn’t mean the game will be bare bones when it launches February 16th for the PlayStation 4 and PC. A new trailer has been released detailing the modes and game features available on day one. Familiar modes like tutorial, training, and network battle are all present.
Survival mode offers players a chance to test their endurance against a string of combatants and unlock color swaps for fighters. Character story mode is a way to see the 16 launch fighters individual journey and unlock their character story outfit. The Capcom Fighting Network is a way to connect with other players, seek out rivals, and hone your fighting prowess through stats and watching replays to learn new skills. To see these modes in action, watch the trailer below.
My Opinion:
I’m already sold on the game, so any new info revealed about SFV just increases my anticipation. What’s offered at launch is more than enough to keep me occupied until the cinematic story mode and new fighters become available down the road.
