No Man’s Sky Delayed

As reported by Kotaku a few days ago, Hello Games and Sony have officially announced that No Man’s Sky has indeed been delayed.

In a blog post, Sean Murray of Hello Games explained the new release date:

“However, as we approached our final deadlines, we realized that some key moments needed extra polish to bring them up to our standards. I have had to make the tough choice to delay the game for a few weeks to allow us to deliver something special.”

You can read the entire blog post here.

No Man’s Sky is now scheduled to release on August 9th in North America, 10th in Europe and on the 12th in the UK for PlayStation 4 and PC.

My Opinion:

Given the scope of the game, I’m not surprised by any delays this game gets. I only hope that it’ll be worth the wait. I can see myself playing this for a good long while as I either listen to the game’s soundtrack or, Spotify.
