Quantic Dreams Fahrenheit – Indigo Prophecy is set to be the latest PlayStation 2 classic to join the PlayStation 4 ranks.
The announcement comes from Quantic Dream who has revealed that PS2 classic Fahrenheit – Indigo Prophecy will release worldwide for the PS4 on July 18th at the price point of $14.99. Like all the recent PS2 remasters for the PS4, Fahrenheit – Indigo Prophecy will run at 1080p and have trophy support.
What is Fahrenheit – Indigo Prophecy?
Like other Quantic Dream games, Fahrenheit – Indigo Prophecy plays more as an interactive film than a video game. In this paranormal thriller, New York City is stunned by a series of mysterious murders that follow the same pattern: ordinary people become possessed and kill absolute strangers in public. The main characters of the story must uncover the supernatural forces behind these crimes.
Upon release on September 26, 2005, Fahrenheit – Indigo Prophecy garnered a 83 on Metacrtic.
My Opinion:
Quantic Dreams is one of my favorite developers in the industry — sadly I never got to play Fahrenheit – Indigo Prophecy back in 2005, likely because I was knee deep in FIFA Street, Super Monkey Ball, and Age of Empires III. Alas, I’m excited to be given a second chance to enjoy this gem.
