Multiple sites are claiming that Sony’s PlayStation Neo is set to be revealed at an event September 7th in New York.
According to Vice and Gameblog Sony is set to turn everyone into little school girls on September 7th with its unveiling of the mysterious PlayStation Neo. One source of Vice’s claims the upcoming event will be a “technical showcase.”
Referred to by developers as the “PlayStation 4.5”, the PlayStation Neo has remained largely a mystery, besides a few supposed tec-spec leaks.
Just prior to E3 this year, Sony confirmed the existence of the upgraded PS4, revealing it is “intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4,” and that every PS4 game would continue to run on current hardware.
According to more Vice sources, Sony just recently nailed down what will be shown at the upcoming event, and that finalized development kids would be sent out around the same time of the event.
My Opinion:
It was long-rumored that the PlayStation Neo would make its debut at the Tokyo Game Show — which always felt like an odd place to unveil it — therefore, this makes much more sense. Receives Tyler Fischer 100 percent stamp-of-approval.
