Let’s start with the cam girls. Yes, cam girls. Chatting with cam girls within a game…is odd an choice, but bold, and I respect that. One of Yakuza 6’s new “play spots” (think of bowling or darts in Grand Theft Auto) will be a complex live chat system where you can interact with cam girls. Again, yes cam girls. How it works is you will interact with a woman (cam girl) via quicktime events, and that’s basically all we know right now. We also know some cam girls cost more points than others. Yeah.
Another newly added play spot are Hostess Clubs where you can play card games. If you aren’t familiar, Hostess Clubs are places where men go to be served by a beautiful “hostess” who serves food, drinks, and pampers the man in every manner, except sexually. However, apparently in the game if you get your hostess excited enough you can — for a lack of a better word — “court” her.
Games within Games:
Along with these new additions, improved karaoke, darts, mahjong, and batting centers, several actual video games are playable in their entirety. Yes games, within games, within games. This world man. The games include Super Hang On, Space Harrier, Outrun, Fantasy Zone (two player compatible), Puyo, Puyo (two player compatible), and most notably: Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown (two player compatible). VF5 released back in 2012, and is the fifth major installment in one of the best influential 3D fighting series of all time.
Yakuza 6 launches for PS4 on December 8th.
I need to start playing Yakuza. It sounds weird.. and I like it.
