NIS America has announced the release date of its upcoming PlayStation Vita title.

According to the developer, A Rose in the Twilight will release in North America on April 11th and in Europe on April 14th on PS Vita and Steam.

A Rose in the Twilight focuses on a young girl who has been cursed with thorns on her back and a giant who aids in her escape from a castle they both have awaken within. Rose, the girl, must absorb blood and pour it into the lifeless objects around her in order to solve each stage of puzzles. As the game progresses, it promises more challenging puzzles to solve and a darker story to unfold.

My Opinion:

I can’t say that I completely understand why NISA continues to develop these games where young, distressed girls are the titular characters, but they do continue to intrigue me. It helps that Nippon Ichi Software is one of few to continue developing games for Vita in the West. I may need to pick this one up just to see how “grim” the story gets.
