It’s no secret that Sonic’s heyday was in the 2D era and Sonic Mania is looking to recapture his former glory in both old and new ways.

A new pre-order trailer has been released for Sonic Mania, highlighting the return of 2D Sonic and familiar pals Tails and Knuckles. Sonic Mania features new original levels and “remixed” levels from past games, with digital pre-orders now available. Sonic Mania releases August 15th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Watch Sonic come to life in the trailer below.

 

 

My Opinion:

I was always more of a Nintendo kid growing up, but have fond memories of Sonic’s early days as well. Sonic Mania is looking good, and it’s nice to see classic mascot characters getting some love this year with Crash Bandicoot returning as well.
