It has been five years since the last main entry in the series, but Bandai Namco has announced the return of its beloved weapons-based fighter.
The Game Awards 2017 promised surprise reveals and the announcement of Soulcaliber VI turned out to be one of them. Namco revealed the game is set for a 2018 release on PS4, XBox One, and PC. Soulcaliber VI utilizes Unreal Engine 6 with Motohiro Okubo serving as producer. Check out the announcement trailer featuring Mitsurugi and Sophitia below.
My Opinion:
I’ve heard rumors about the return of Soulcaliber and I’m happy to see them become reality. I know the last few entries in the series didn’t have the best reception, but hopefully Namco can restore the series to its former glory.
