2K Games tweeted earlier today that the release date for the PlayStation Vita version of their 2012 hit game, Borderlands 2, is March 18th. Though in a strange turn of events, the tweet was deleted almost immediately after being sent out, and as of now, it is unknown if the tweet was a mistake.

The original tweet read:

“#Borderlands2 is coming to #PSVita on March 18th! RT!”

We don’t know why the tweet was deleted,though the website Dualshockers.com have reached out to 2K Games for a response, we’ll do another story if they get any confirmation.

Update: Publisher 2K has since tweeted that it released the Borderlands 2 for PS Vita launch date in error.

“We apologise for a tweet about a release date for Borderlands 2 on Vita which was posted in error,” reads a statement from the company on its official Twitter account. “The release date mentioned is incorrect.”

My Opinion

I’m 99.9% certain that this is the release date for the game, and it was just accidentally sent out slightly too early. It makes sense if the game is coming that soon, you would want to announce the release date around late January to build necessary hype.
