After an open beta, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft sees an official release.
Blizzard’s online card game based on its Warcraft world, which has been in several betas, has officially been released on PC and Mac, with mobile versions currently in the works. While in the beta, developers of the game made changes that included reworking cards and ranked gameplay, adding golden heroes, and fixing inevitable bugs. Another feature was also added to keep the gameplay fun and consistent. The new reconnect feature will try to hang on to opponents for up to 60 seconds even when connections want to die down.
The game is currently available through Battle.net, where the open beta was also released.
I played Hearthstone when it was in its open beta, and I couldn’t gravitate towards it. For instance, I wanted to see more customization in the heroes themselves, making them my own, with my own chatting system also. Because of that, it makes the game impossible for me to immerse myself in. If they add a way to customize our heroes and give us a legitimate chat system, I’ll come back, but since the beta has ended, so have my hopes. *sigh* Enjoy, Blizzard fans, as your card game has officially arrived.
