NeoGAF user Deadpixel recently released a chart comparing the amount of games, both exclusive or not, between the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

As can be seen, Sony has released more games on their system than Microsoft. Microsoft has released (or plan to release) 41 games on their system in the span of 7 months compared to the PS4’s 68 games. In terms of exclusive games, the Xbox One only has 17 titles, including games that were also released on the Xbox 360 and PC. Sony, however, has released (or plan to release) 43 exclusive games, including games that were previously released on PC, PS3, and on the PS Vita.
My Opinion
“The PS4 has no games”? “The Xbox One has nothing”? These statements are far from true. This chart clearly shows that both consoles have games. This is the same criticism that I hear about the PS Vita. “There are no games” is not an excuse anymore. I will say that I want the Xbox One to have more games available on their system, especially exclusives. I know 17 titles is enough sometimes, but when your main opponent has over 50% more games than you do, you need to get more games out on the market for your new console in order for it to sell. Yes, some of the PS4 exclusives are small and throwaway to most gamers (Pure Chess, Backgammon Blitz, That Trivia Game to name three), but those are still games on the system. Hopefully, E3 will give us hope for both current-gen consoles. Now, about that Wii U…..
