Sony announced on Twitter this morning that the PlayStation 4 system update 1.70 will be coming to Europe on April 30th. So far there is no update on whether it will be coming to North America on the same day or not.
It was revealed last week that system update 1.70 would include the new SHAREfactory video editor, the ability to turn HDCP off, and the ability to pre-load games you’ve preordered.
Apparently the update will also include more cool features, but Sony has not announced what those are yet.
My Opinion:
I imagine that the update will arrive in North America on the same day or a day sooner than it does in Europe. I can’t believe that it is finally coming out next week. I cannot wait to be able to record all of my gameplay after turning HDCP off! I am also super interested to find out what these “other features” might end up being. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
