Following an E3 “leak” about Sony last week, there was a document leaked by Wii U Daily. It listed some of the games that will be both on the floor and demonstrated on the stage, as well as what platforms they are for. So, can this be trusted?
As with my previous article, I will break this down, but by Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo, as the document itself does, and then by stage and floor presence.
Microsoft’s Stage:
Beyond Good & Evil 2 – Gameplay for Xbox One
DirectX 12 – Trailer for Xbox One
Fable Legends – Gameplay for Xbox One
Forza Horizon 2 – Gameplay for Xbox One
Gears of War 4 – Gameplay for Xbox One
Halo 5 – Tech Demo for Xbox One
Kinect TV Shows – Trailer for Xbox One
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Gameplay for Xbox One
Quantum Break – Gameplay for Xbox One
Star Wars: Battlefront III – Gameplay for Xbox One
Titanfall DLC – Gameplay for Xbox One
This is actually good, although I am a little bit hesitant to call this confirmed at the moment. The ones that I don’t think will be there in the fashion that is listed is Beyond Good & Evil 2, Gears 4, and Battlefront. I think that they will have trailers, not gameplay on the stage. Also, with all the awesome Sunset Overdrive footage that was out last week, it is slightly disappointing to not find it on the list. However, this looks like it will be an amazing outing for it. The focus on the Xbox One is understandable, but I am not looking forward to the Kinect TV Shows. No. Let the Kinect die.
Microsoft’s Floor:
Dragonage: Inquisition for Xbox One
EA Sports UFC for Xbox One
Fable Legends for Xbox One
FIFA 15 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One
Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One
Killer Instinct for Xbox One
Madden NFL 15 for Xbox One
Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor for Xbox One
NHL 15 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One
Project Spark for Xbox One
Sunset Overdrive for Xbox One
Quantum Break for Xbox One
This seems great. However, I am not certain about Sunset Overdrive, although this would be awesome, and Quantum Break, which may come with the gameplay shown on stage. If this is true, then I would like to tell EA that it can stop beating around the bush and just tell us that it is sleeping with Microsoft. So many EA games on Microsoft platforms AND Battlefront on Microsoft’s stage? Come on.
Sony’s Stage:
Destiny – Gameplay for PS4
DriveClub – Trailer for PS4
God of War 4 – CGI Trailer for PS4
Indie Games Trailer for PS3, PS4 and Vita
inFAMOUS: Second Son DLC – Gameplay for PS4
The Order: 1886 – Gameplay for PS4
Uncharted 4: The Sunken Blade – Tech Demo for PS4
Watch_Dogs – Gameplay for PS4
Some of these I have already covered last week, so I will say that this is fairly likely except for three things. One, DriveClub will most likely get some gameplay and not just a trailer. If it does get just a trailer, then gamers will not have great confidence in it. Secondly, Uncharted 4 will most likely not called The Sunken Blade. The title just sounds awful in my opinion. Lastly, it says that Watch_Dogs will have a stage presence there. The problem with that is timing. Watch_Dogs is set to release on May 27th. The conference is on June 9th. This isn’t good.
Sony’s Floor:
Alien: Isolation for PS3 and PS4
Batman: Arkham Knight for PS4
Destiny for PS4
Disgaea 4 for Vita
DriveClub for PS4
EverQuest Next for PS4
Hatsune Miku Project DIVA – F 2nd for Vita
Lords of the Fallen for PS4
Natural Doctrine for Vita
PlanetSide 2 for PS4
The Order: 1886 for PS4
Ultra Street Fighter IV for PS3
Watch_Dogs for PS4
As with my previous statement about Watch_Dogs, I am not really confident about this with the release date. As with everything else, this is odd to hear about Batman and Alien. This is great news to hear if it is true, and I think this is plausible given when the games are set to come out. The only thing that makes me feel sad about this is the fact that there isn’t a big Vita game out there in the form of a big Sony franchise like inFAMOUS. Overall, this looks pretty good.
Since Nintendo will have their E3 Digital Show, they will not have an E3 stage presence, but they will have a floor presence.
Nintendo’s Floor:
Bayonetta 2 for Wii U
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night 2 for 3DS
Hyrule Warriors for Wii U
Mario Kart 8 for Wii U
Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate for 3DS
Pokken Fighters for Wii U
Sonic Boom for 3DS and Wii U
Super Smash Bros. U for Wii U
Super Smash Bros. 3D for 3DS
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call for 3DS
The Legend of Zelda: Shard of Nightmare for Wii U
Xenogears: Origins for Wii U
Overall, there is not much to say here except that we have a possible title for the next Legend of Zelda title. Shard of Nightmare sounds good for a Zelda game, so I like this news. I will say that I am looking at some of these titles with question, mainly Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and Pokken Fighters. These are curious titles, but it oddly enough sounds too creative to be false. I guess we will have to wait until E3 to know the truth.
What to you think of this E3 rumors? Can this be trusted? I find this actually plausible, but I am hesitant about it because of some of the titles listed here. However, we will only have to wait until June 9 to know for sure.
