Only a few days until E3 and the announcements keep on coming! Image & Form has announced their hit indie title, SteamWorld Dig, will make a Fall debut on Wii U consoles.

Announced earlier today in a press release and in a blog post on their website, Image & Form seems thrilled to be working with Nintendo again.

Image & Form has been banging the Nintendo drum for a while and this announcement is no exception. The blog post goes on to say “Wii U is a powerhouse, which is extremely cool. The Wii U GamePad and Miiverse are fun to explore but we’ve yet to decide on how we’ll utilize them.”

While Image & Form expects a Fall 2014 release, they will be releasing a price point, an exact release date, and new features at a later time.

My Opinion:

I am absolutely thrilled. This game has been a long time coming for the Wii U, and is perfect for dual-screen play. While I generally won’t buy multiple editions of games,  I can always make an exception for SteamWorld Dig. Hopefully we hear some more at E3!
