PlayStation TV Coming West This Fall

Sony announced that PlayStation TV, originally called Vita TV in Japan, will come to North America and Europe this Fall.

PlayStation TV will support PlayStation Now, Vita games, and PS1/PSP classics.  With all of those combined, PSTV owners will have access to over 1000 games.

It will launch with the following two SKUs this Fall:

  • $99 standalone
    • Just includes the PlayStation TV device

  • $139 bundle
    • PlayStation TV device
    • DualShock 3
    • 8GB of memory
    • HDMI Cable
    • Digital Voucher for TheLego Movie Videogame for Vita

My Opinion:

I am glad to see that it is finally coming to the west!  I knew when it was announced that it was only a matter of time before it would make its way over here.  It really seems like a game changer and perfect for the PlayStation Now service.  I can’t wait to try one out!
