New Mario vs. Donkey Kong Game Coming to Wii U

Nintendo has revealed that another entry in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series is being developed for Wii U.

The game appears to play much like Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem for the Nintendo DS. The objective is to guide the mini-Marios and friends around various stages. Move blocks, shift platforms, and press switches to make sure every mini reaches the goal safely.

As is typical for the series, the game features a level creator. Players will be able to share their custom levels on Miiverse to earn stars from other players, or give their own stars away if they find a level they enjoy.

The trailer shows some new elements, including moving-ladders, cannons, Mini Luigi, and what appears to be Shadow Mario. The game is scheduled for release in 2015.

My Opinion:

Having been a fan of the series since its inception, I heartily welcome any additions to the franchise. Here’s hoping there are tons of new features to make the puzzles interesting! The only problem is that this is coming out in 2015 along with about a billion other great games. Oh well. Who needs to pay bills when you can play games instead?!
