The boxed edition of the indie darling, Gone Home, hits retail stores July 3rd. The game is packaged similarly to a classic SNES game and includes a number of collectors items.
The Fullbright Company has teamed up with Merge Games to publish the game in the UK, Ireland, Benelux, Nordic, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the Czech Republic.
For those who live in the United States, the game can be imported from Merge Games’ website or purchased from The Fullbright Company’s TopatoCo storefront.
The boxed edition includes a DRM free version for PC, a Steam key, a sticker, a poster, and an art book.
Gone Home is a downloadable game that was released last year. It received a lot of critical acclaim, including some Game of the Year awards.
My Opinion:
Gone Home was one of personal favorites from last year, so this boxed edition immediately interests me. It is a bit disappointing that it isn’t coming to retail stores in the United States, but at least it can still be ordered from Merge’s online storefront and TopatoCo.
