GTA: Online 4th of July Update

A new Grand Theft Auto: Online update hits today celebrating Independence Day!

The Independence Day Special (In Association with Ammu-Nation) adds new weapons, vehicles, and properties to Grand Theft Auto: Online.

The free update includes a new motorcycle called the Sovereign and the Liberator, a monster-truck coated in red, white, and blue.  The update also includes some new patriotic weapons such as the Firework Rocket Launcher and a musket.

To accompany the new vehicles and weapons, Rockstar added seven new properties and some star-spangled clothing.

As with most of Grand Theft Auto: Online’s seasonal updates, The Independence Day update will expire mid-July.  Rockstar has not revealed the exact date.

To redeem The Independence Day Special update simply start GTA: Online and it will update automatically.  The update also includes minor tweaks and bug fixes.

My Opinion:

I like the continued support that GTA: Online is getting, however I would rather have Rockstar focus their efforts on getting heists into the game.  The heists were promised shortly after GTA: Online launched, but it has almost been a year now and they are nowhere to be found.
