Yesterday, CD Projekt RED announced that a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena is coming set in The Witcher Universe. In The Witcher Battle Arena, there will be 3 vs. 3 battles with eight unique heroes to choose from and different classes pertaining to what skills they have.
You can play the single player mode, or play with friends and other players. The Witcher Battle Arena is developed by Fuero Games and is designed by CD Projekt RED.
CD Projekt RED has promised that there will be no pay-to-win transactions and everything becomes unlocked as you play the game. “Everything in the game is unlockable for free, just by playing the game. Our system is honest, well balanced and doesn’t keep you playing for ages to unlock something. If you want to get something unlocked faster, you can purchase it for a reasonable price. It’s that simple.”
The Witcher Battle Arena is coming for the iOS, Android, and Windows Phones later this year.
My Opinion:
Considering the good will that CD Projekt RED has had on gamers recently, I’m more inclined to believe that they will do the right thing with the prices in The Witcher Battle Arena. It’s all subjective to what that reasonable price will be, but if CD Projekt RED is keeping up their good will they have garnered over the years, then I think the prices will be fairly cheap.
