Sword Art Online’s Big Update Not Built In

Looks like the newest Sword Art Online game will be more of a “hollow fragment” when it comes to the West in August. According to Siliconera, the game is getting more content in Japan that will not be built into the Western release.

This new content patch will provide the pseudo-MMORPG with over 30 hours of content with new monsters, characters and areas. They will be bringing the new content over, but it will not be built into the initial release. It is currently being treated like an MMORPG with constant updates.

This update will include three new bosses and a new character in Argo, which will fight with a dagger. More changes will be made available in the update, like new options for dating.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment will be available in North America on August 19 and in Europe on August 20.

My Opinion:

This makes sense. It will likely come as a patch if anything to the game when it comes over to the West. However, it seems like the game will be big as it is. Please wait for my review later this year.
